What does it mean to be a “woman of integrity?” Well, if you ask the mainstream media—becoming a woman of integrity doesn’t always involve a higher being. This week, Mike Smith and his guest, Patti Garibay, will talk about a few ways homeschooling parents can counteract this message and help their daughters find true self-esteem, integrity, and significance in God.

Patti Garibay
Patti Garibay is founder and Executive Director of the national scouting organization, the American Heritage Girls. Educated at the Ohio State University with a major in secondary education and French, Patti shares a love of history and youth. She enjoyed several roles in theater productions throughout her high school and college years and served as the senior class president of her all-girls high school.
Patti and her husband of 29 years, Pat, are blessed with four grown children—three girls and a boy—and one grandson with two grandkids on the way. Together they enjoy membership at Springdale Church of the Nazarene where they have served in a variety of volunteer roles including interim childrens pastors.
Her volunteer experience with youth, church and civic organizations spans 20 years. In 2004 she was honored as a woman of excellence by her local Chamber of Commerce. Patti has interviewed for hundreds of media outlets during her tenure as national executive director and enjoys public speaking. It is her distinct pleasure to serve as the director of the God-appointed ministry of the American Heritage Girls.
