Dr. Eggerichs
Dr. Eggerichs left the pastorate in 1999 to launch Love & Respect Ministries and devote full-time to building healthy marriages. His book, Love and Respect, has sold more than 400,000 copies, remained in the Top 10 on several best-selling lists, and received numerous awards including the Gold Medallion, Retailer’s Choice and Book of the Year for 2007 from Family Christian Book Stores.
Emerson received his B.A. in Biblical Studies and an M.A. in Communications from Wheaton College and Graduate school. He was later awarded his Masters in Divinity from Dubuque Seminary, and earned his Ph.D. from Michigan State University in Child and Family Ecology. He has served on the board of the National Center for Fathering, and currently serves on the the board of the Michigan Family Forum. He has also served on the committee for Michigan’s Year of the Child and Family with the state’s Lieutenant Governor. Emerson was the senior pastor of East Lansing Trinity church for nearly 20 years.
