Trouble Getting a State-Issued ID Several members reported major problems obtaining state-issued identification cards for their children due to new laws. HSLDA learned the new requirements allow for a wider range of documentation than some officials were accepting.
School Rejects Home Instruction Plan Homeschooling on Long Island, a member family was surprised to have their IHIP rejected by their local school district because of their physical education program. The district insisted that the family had to document the number of minutes per day they would be providing physical education to their children before they would "approve" their IHIP.
